Andrew Jeffries - Personal Trainer

Andy Jeffries has over 12 years experience within the fitness industry. Prior to Pro Balance, Andy worked as a Gym Instructor at the Village & Leisure Club (Hyde), and at Prema Health Club (Manchester).

Andy has gained experience in all aspects of fitness training including weight management, circuit training, spinning, ski-fit training, Pilates, heart-fit training, sport specific fitness, muscular development, and speed conditioning. He has worked for Bury FC and Manchester City FC as a fitness/speed conditioning coach, and St Lawrence's Gaelic Football team.

Over the years, Andy has worked with some great athletes, helping them to improve their fitness and strength. This is why he is now used by some celebrities when they are in Manchester, but don't let this put you off!

Andy has been a keen athlete and ran at a high standard representing Trafford AC and Stockport Harriers. His own motivation for sport and fitness training has helped him achieve success at club and county level, and helped influence his choice of career.

David Gooch - Personal Trainer

David Gooch has been a keen athlete and rugby player for over 15 years now, with representative honors at county, national and international level in Rugby league. Prior to Pro-Balance David worked with Super League club Salford City Reds as a Sports Rehabilitator working very closely with the head Physiotherapist and head Conditioner. David has also had spells with Super League club Warrington Wolves and Southampton Football Club.

After completing a BTEC in Sports and Exercise Science, David studied at Salford University, and in 2007 completed a degree in Sports Rehabilitation. David's qualifications not only give him the ability to organize and develop both rehabilitation and training programs, but also to ensure programs are tailored to meet the individual and specific demands of the client.

David is a very motivated and dedicated trainer, which can be seen with his sporting and professional achievements. These traits are valuable assets in any trainer and when combined with David's qualifications, ensure that clients gain the most from their training sessions with the best results available.

Ross Bewley - Personal Trainer

Ross Bewley has over 11 years experience in the Fitness industry and has helped 1000's of clients in achieving their health and fitness related goals through focussing on the 3 keys of fitness... exercise, nutrition and detoxification. Ross is trained through the highly renowned National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is also a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals – Level 3. Specialising in weight loss and wellbeing Ross is certified in nutrition, core (abdominal) training, biomechanics, resistance training, fitness instruction, and exercise to music, shallow water exercise, yoga, Pilates, circuit training, advanced resistance training and more.

Throughout his years in the industry Ross has had the pleasure of working for major players in health and fitness including David Lloyd Leisure, Esporta Health Clubs and DW Fitness. In addition Ross has worked internationally for major cruise line companies including Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises and P&O Australia. Also working as a self employed Personal Trainer in Vancouver Canada.

Ross uses a motivational and structured approach to achieving goals. Going above and beyond for each client to ensure results are achieved in the shortest time frame possible.

Michelle Brookes - Personal Trainer

Michelle Brookes has worked in the fitness industry for the last 3 years, mostly as a manager and trainer in a ladies only private gym. She is qualified to level 3 in personal training as well as completing courses in core stability, nutrition, functional training and basic counselling concepts.

Her whole working life has been focused around health and fitness, spending many years as a professional dancer performing around Europe and holds a B.A (hons) in creative arts (dance major). In between treading the boards Michelle has worked as a manager around France for a company that specialises in wellbeing products and in the U.K for a major designer sports wear retailer.

Michelle has gained a wide knowledge of many different sectors of the industry and has developed a customer service that is above and beyond. She likes to make fitness fun, as well as focusing on the seriousness of helping people improve their health and fitness. Her main priority is that her clients are happy, achieving their goals and feeling better in body and mind.

Michelle is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about fitness which transfers easily, making motivation for the client natural. Her programmes are varied and fun, ensuring that the sessions are never boring. To Michelle fitness is not a merely a job but a way of life and she hopes to help her clients adopt the same attitude so that they don't merely do phases of health and fitness but changing their habits for life!
