Picking a personal trainer is a crucial decision for anyone serious about getting in shape, training for a big event or nursing themselves back from injury. Having seen the ProBalance team in action, I'd recommend anyone to choose them. One-on-one professional advice from sportsmen who have been there and done that. A private gym to use in the centre of Manchester City Centre at your convenience. 24/7 availability.

I got in shape with the help of trainer Andy and the VibroGym. It was unconvential training to say the least, but really helped me nurse my lower back to health and gave me the energy to do more and more exercise. Having one-on-one direction and privacy made all the difference to my recovery. I am now at a point where I am able to motivate myself and train alone, but always use the trainers at ProBalance to give me an extra boost and added advice whenever I need it, especially now I'm getting married and need to stay in shape for the big day.

I am 36 years old and Andy has been my personal trainer for 3 years now. In that time, I have achieved noticeable and commended improvements in both stamina & endurance through cardio training and strength capability through work with weights. Improvements have been sensibly gradual, with staged increases to push me further as ability allows. The atmosphere is good and my results are monitored per session so I can see the real progress I am making, which in turn is a tremendous boost to self-esteem and confidence. Three years ago, at the age of 56, I finally decided that my lack of fitness and the high stress levels involved in my work required me to have a major change in my lifestyle. During the three years I have been training once a week at Pro Balance with Andy, I have lost 17 pounds in weight, changed my body fat from 28% to 16% and am, and feel, fitter that I have been for twenty years. For a couple of years, I had been a constant 13 stones in weight, and was aware that for my age and height, I should have been lighter. Even though I am always on the go, busy running around, my physique did not change. Putting on another few pounds by comfort eating did me no favours, and then developing gout I knew I had to act quick.

I contacted Pro Balance and Andy Jeffries became my personal fitness instructor. Three months later I was under 12 stones and far better physically and mentally.
